I mentioned Easter baskets to my husband and he said he never did anything for Easter as a kid so it doesn’t register for him as a holiday. Our oldest is 16. I’ve been making Easter baskets and doing Easter egg hunts and a ham dinner for 16 years. And now my daughter is vegan so I had to figure out something other than candy.

I love doing fun things for holidays, but all we did for St. Patrick's Day was wear green. Everything has become too over the top.

I did all the weird fun stuff. and it can be exhausting. my kid is almost 19. she tells her friend about the leprechaun who we never caught and how he wrecked the house. Sparkles the elf. the tooth fairy. she also told me that when I am old and have dementia she has my back, pinky swear. she knows who took time for her. it would have been great if she had two parents to have those memories with

Year one million of naughty leprechauns with their malarkey and shenanigans, also featuring our Elf on the Shelf. I was bummed I didn’t have green streamers, but I was so thankful I had yellow in the house…so not a total mom fail!

I make the kids design and build the trap. That’s thier job and it’s a fun little STEM project, then I leave little clues that he showed up. It’s fun. No money is spent.

My mom is Irish, so she never did all that commercial stuff. She let me call out of school and we went to the parade every single year so I can learn about my culture.😂

a lot of judgement for what others aren't making other people do. it's only ridiculous if you don't want to do it. my kid tells her friends how amazing St Patrick's Day is, Sparkles the elf, the tooth fairy, and anything else crazy I could think of. She is almost 19 and still pretends to believe. She is in college, I sent tattoos & green candy.
