@2infinityndamom: In real life no one noticed my teeth or at least they didn't mention it. Online I received thousands of comments like "ewww, close your mouth " or " I wouldn't smile if I were you" or " she's cute until she smiles". I read these sort of comments so many times that for a moment... I almost listened. But the truth was, I was battling periodontal disease while still trying to show up, trying to be a good mom, trying to live life no matter my circumstances, and find joy in the middle of it all.Those were my real teeth. And this was the beginning of a journey I never even thought I would have the opportunity to share.A journey that would eventually lead me to rebuilding my smile with implants... and reclaiming my confidence along the way. We have gotten this far but the journey has just begun. Now, I've been in my temps for 4+ months trying to save up the funds to make it back to Jacksonville to obtain my finals and get to the next part of my journey THE FINISHLINE. The GoFundMe is still live. I'm still trying to get there. Looks like you might have periodontal disease ( I know because I have it and have for years) it can be reversed with strict dental care, and regular dental cleaning and checks. Also they can add bone to the areas where it’s missing. It’s a process but they can significantly manage it. I lost my front tooth because of periodontal disease. So everyone who is making fun of her, go educate yourself!!
