Five+ months post discard, I’m loads better by now, but what really stings is that I genuinely had pure intentions with her, no hidden agenda and whatnot, even had her saved under “Wifey 😍” in my contacts, damnit all ugh.

Respectfully, as I’m sure there’s others that do wonder through the pain but.. who cares. If you were discarded or broken up with, Don’t chase. Assume that person is never coming back and take the time to heal and work on yourself. It’s not easy but it’s far batter then trying to decipher the psychology of someone who actively chose to walk away from you. Protect your heart, protect your peace, heal, and work on yourself. Don’t let anybody dictate your emotions. You’re the prize. If that person didn’t see that, someone definitely will. Do not waste your time chasing.

My avoidant and i broke up in 2011 because he cheated. I moved house and changed my number. I went ghost. In 2020 a friend of his saw me working and told my ex, he came an hour later after 9 years. He has not left me alone since.

I can confirm! He fought so hard for a year to get me back. I finally gave him a chance and I have never been played so badly in my life. Keep in mind he said I was the woman he wanted to marry, that being with me was like being on cloud 9/ in heaven. He left because he said I outgrew him and deserved better. After we ended the truth of everything he did came out. Now he’s fighting to worm his way back into my life. I can never look at him the same but I wish him the best.

I just broke up it off with him for good last week.... I'm so proud of myself. Never in the 8 years of knowing him would I have ever thought I'd have the will power to do so but I did it!!

Such a great video. It’s funny reading the comments where everyone assumes they are the 'Phantom Ex.' I recently had a heart-to-heart with an avoidant man in my life, and he actually revealed who his Phantom Ex really is. Hearing him talk about her and admitting she’s the only woman he’s ever loved was eye-opening. It’s a reminder that we can’t assign that title to ourselves; only the person holding onto that memory knows who occupies that space.
