Don’t Leave Me Tonight The rain had been falling for almost an hour. Milk stood quietly by the window, watching the drops slide down the glass. The room was dim, except for the small lamp beside the couch. Everything was quiet—too quiet. Then she heard the door open. Love walked in, slowly closing it behind her. “Love?” No answer. Milk turned around and immediately noticed the look on her face. Her eyes were tired, and there was a sadness she was trying very hard to hide. Milk walked toward her. “Hey… what happened?” “I’m fine.” Milk gave her a small, knowing smile. “You always say that when you’re not fine.” Love looked away. For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then Love whispered, “Can I just… stay with you tonight?” Milk’s expression softened. “Of course.” Love sat on the couch, pulling her knees close to herself. Milk sat beside her, leaving just enough space between them. “Do you want to talk about it?” Milk asked gently. Love shook her head. “Okay.” Milk didn’t push. Instead, she quietly reached for Love’s hand. Love looked down at their fingers. “You don’t have to tell me anything,” Milk whispered. “You can just sit here.” Love’s eyes became glassy. “I hate feeling like this.” “I know.” “I feel like I’m bothering everyone.” “You could never bother me.” Love finally looked at her. “Never?” “Never.” The words were simple, but they made Love’s expression change. She moved closer until her shoulder rested against Milk’s. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.” Milk smiled softly. “You won’t have to find out.” Love let out a tiny laugh through her tears. “You always know what to say.” “Only with you.” They stayed like that for a while, listening to the rain. Then Love quietly leaned her head against Milk’s shoulder. “Milk?” “Hmm?” “Can you hold me?” Milk didn’t hesitate. She wrapped her arms gently around Love and pulled her closer. Love relaxed immediately, hiding her face against Milk’s shoulder. “Better?” Milk whispered. “A little.” Milk smiled and gently ran her fingers through Love’s hair. “You can stay as long as you want.” Love lifted her head. “Even if I stay all night?” “Especially then.” Love smiled. For the first time that evening, it was a real smile. Their faces were suddenly closer than before. Neither of them moved away. Milk looked into Love’s eyes, then quietly whispered, “Can I kiss you?” Love’s cheeks turned pink. She nodded. Milk leaned closer and pressed a soft, gentle kiss against her lips. It lasted only a moment. But when they pulled away, Love smiled shyly. “I think I needed that.” Milk laughed softly. “Then maybe you can have another one.” Love smiled. “Maybe.” Milk leaned in again, giving her another slow, tender kiss before resting her forehead against Love’s. The rain continued outside. But inside, everything finally felt warm. Love closed her eyes. “Don’t leave me tonight.” Milk held her a little tighter. “I won’t.” And for the first time that night, Love believed her. They stayed together on the couch, wrapped in each other’s arms, while the rain slowly faded into the distance. Neither of them needed to say anything else. They were exactly where they wanted to be. #milklove #milkpansa #loverrukk #ditto #fyp
