Would the preventing negative emotions theoretically also apply to Botox for migraines too? I get it every 3 months but haven’t noticed a change in the ability to move my eyebrows

that makes a lot of sense, whenever ive had to mask my facial expressions into a poker face i find it hard to feel my emotions fully without making the expression

doesn’t seem to mess with my emotions but people no longer take me seriously when i’m mad or sad. it’s like i’m Jennifer Coolidge in a cinderella story lol

I get Botox on my forehead and jaw muscles and I definitely am happier when I don’t grind my teeth lol it’s actually very noticeable for me.

I get Botox for migraines and TMJ - not being able to furrow my brow and look miserable has actually made me feel so much happier. The TMJ injections gave me back a full range pain-free smile too. My neuro doesn’t target cosmetic areas like under the eye which makes so much sense now

I’ve had dysport a couple of times, the first time I had it. I was going through an extremely stressful and emotional time in my life, when I’d look in the mirror and see how relaxed my face looked I’d feel more relaxed and also more surprisingly I liked how I looked which was not usual for other difficult times in my life .

Botox use in migraine treatment is also wild. We just need more research in allllll the things 😭

Im happy because I have far less migraines and that’s what matters. Also your personality shines through more than you think. People tell me I smile with my eyes even though the area around my eyes doesn’t move.

I love how many of your videos end with “we don’t actually know!” Bc even tho humans have learnt so much there’s still so much to learn and that’s beautiful imo

I’ve never had any interest in getting Botox, but I totally do this study because it’s so fascinating. Also, I can tell you LOVE your work based on YOUR emotions, you seem to get more excited and happier by the end of your videos. So cool.

My guess would be it having something to do with mirror neurons. If our faces are normally making micro expressions in response to others, we're likely feeling that which then based on context clues is tied to emotion. Botox might stop that feedback

I need to find something that suppresses my eye rolls. Meetings would suddenly become far more tolerable.
