100% I’m African American and indigenous Mexican, descent. My family on my dad’s side is from San Luis Potosí and I’ve been reconnecting deeper by learning Nahuatl, the history and the indigenous culture while also connecting deeper with my African roots learning about the Igbo and Yoruba.

That's so very interesting. Especially the fact that colonialism works on a mind level. When I was young, American author David Baldacci was translated into Italian as David Ford Baldacci because Italian readers were unlikely to buy thriller books by an author with an Italian name. Now I understand why.

It’s sad I’ve gotten more hate from my Indian community because I have a darker skin color and I have dealt from 9/11 bigotry and racism Ingrained colonialism and colorism is in immigrant communities that we hurt each other more
