Hairdresser here, depending on her true hair texture her hair is probably to long and heavy for her texture to thrive. If she has a natural wave or looser curl the length just pulls the texture straight. Taking length off and putting in some layers will possibly make them pop-up 😁

my daughter has extremely curly hair. if it gets too long, the weight pulls out the curls. cut hair with layers and try a curly routine for a while. also, brush hair during the conditioning to avoid pulling curls out and damaging the hair.

Great idea for advice! There seems to be far too much conditioning products on the end result. The reason being that this amount of product is meant for medium/coarse curly hair, but she has fine wavy hair. So on the conditioner part, use alot less, like half a pump, and only on soaking wet ends. For the end plop i would try to do 1 pump of product, and i would omit the hair oil until it’s needed. I would also blow dry, then next morning do a mist of water and let airdry. A few adjustments should get you guys there!

I brush mine before I do all of the washing and conditioning. I don't brush out the curls. I mousse immediately out of the shower and plop it in something for awhile to cast. Then I diffuse but when I change areas to diffuse I turn the dryer off so I don't get random frizzy's. Then I use some kind of curl conditioner to break the cast. Usually I do hairspray after that but that is mostly for volume and I doubt she needs that

She will have a much better result with lot of length cut off and layers. Her hair texture is too fine to hold curls at a longer length. I have long hair like your daughter, but my curls still hold from top to bottom because of my hair texture only. You’ll notice a big difference with it cut and layers- she needs 6-8 inches off, which she may not want to do at this time for a “maybe” result.

She needs a haircut. Her hair is too heavy to curl. My curls are best when my hair is shorter. Close to shoulder length or a little longer. The longer my hair gets, the worse they are

maybe try trimming the dead ends thats always helped my hair and the ogx argan oil and morocco conditioner idk why but it makes my hair extremely curly

Our stylist just cut some long layers in my daughter’s hair and suggested some sea salt texture spray. It has helped her waves. Your daughter’s hair reminds me of my daughters.

She has beautiful hair and curl restoration or not, this is great bonding time! It DOES look like her hair may be too long for the natural curls to shine though. Mine is the same way so I perm a tighter more consistent curl.

Least amount of heat possible, a good curl shampoo and conditioner only brush when wet I recommend immediately after a shower. Mine went away and it’s slowly coming back this way it’s also how I got my sisters back

For the scrunching I do curl cream and moose and a small amount of gel and hang my head upside down and scrunch them in order of curl cream gel moose and depending how long I want it to last i might do a small amount of hairspray

Apply products when her hair is soaking wet and brush products through and then scrunch, you should hear a squish noise which is how you know there is enough moisture in the hair for the product to work best!

Wet hair when adding products add layers use a mousse on roots and curl cream with a little gel for mids ends and defuse on low heat/cool
