My wife and I decided on sobriety and we spent a lot of time together, we hangout a lot. We’ve also incorporated hiking/tenning into our Saturday and Sunday mornings then breakfasts after. This has made us aware of how alcohol kept us ‘busy’ but time wasted actually. 37 days today and counting

In the initial stages they think that you are bluffing because it is unbelievable that someone who was drinking alcohol can’t just quit alcohol for real but after six months it start to sink and they start accepting it. I am 15 months sober

After i stopped, I realised I was a drinking buddy, not a friend, we no longer planning trips together or get regular weekend calls. In their minds I am taking a break. I keep telling them I’m good with alcohol but they don’t understand why am I do it, even my brother interrogated me why I decided to stop drinking, he’s even thinking it’s because of my partner

went to club,ordered 1.5l water and one cranberry juice 1. l...I won't lie I'm enjoying it I don't even feel off when going out,I don't explain myself to people they either adapt or deal with it.
