They need to make the drugs more affordable. It’s not sustainable at over £100 a month.

Love your GLP1 content.
As someone who has lost 6st, I talk to so many people who dont understand its not the medication causing a lot of the side effects its the rapid weight loss.
We need more like you, who understand it, talk straight, but with empathy & humour.

This is why the doctors really emphasise having a protein forward diet when going into the medication - at least the did with me “if you’re struggling to eat something, whatever you do eat, make it protein”

Glp-1 medication helped me substantially lose over 40kg. I tried to do what it said on the tin. Train your mind during that time to create a healthier relationship with food and start going to the gym consistently. I have gained a 3kgs back from when I stopped 5 months ago but honestly I have a better relationship with food and exercise that was difficult to have beforehand.

I’m interested to know, what happens when people stop taking them? is it a long term fix ?

I eat around 1600-1800kcal with 150-170g of protein per day, my maintenance is around 3000kcal. I strength train 4 days a week… i’m not sure if i should add extra calories or not. My goal is to lose body fat but maintain/gain muscle.

I agree 1000%. It literally doesn’t matter the degree of deficit protein is king and strength training is king!

Been on GLP1 for 9 months- eating 160g of protein per day, 3 CrossFit sessions a week, 1 bodybuilding session. Have lost 45lbs, built visible muscle and the weight I’m lifting keeps increasing so getting stronger, GLPs are great if done properly

THANK YOU for actually saying it how it is! fed up of people not seeing it scientifically, if you eat and train and do it properly you will not lose ridiculous amounts of muscle. I've gained loads of muscle on a GLP1 and lifting heavier than ever! 💪🏻

Lost 6 stone on glp1 and while I've some loose skin, I've maintained a decent muscle mass because I worked out/weight trained, did yoga for bone health, and focused on protein. As you said, some people can abuse the medication and also don't add good habits to weight loss.
