please your artisan did a bad job, don't say this idea is bad, I've been doing this job for multiple clients and no complain, the board to use is called ½inch China board, u screed with good putty material and paint with matte or silk paint, and while doing the board, you use thread tape to cover the lines from the board and it won't crack, I can give u guarantee
