Just know the ceiling fan works for Summer and Winter. In the Summer they should spin counter clockwise and Winter clockwise. There is a switch usually on the base.

When I was in Europe I was shocked by the lack of fans and overhead lights. No one had them, it was dim lamps everywhere.
