This is so true like Long Island needs to build more downtown areas and luxury apartments right near train stations. I guess we want the single-family home suburbs but like just fine just have like the little mini hubs right next to the train station Westchester does it really well with like White Plains.

My “luxury” apt in Suffolk - everything is plastic/cheap wood, the front doors don’t shut fully lol, my countertop is like concrete and my “wooden floors” are laminate

This is so true!! We just moved to a brand new freshly renovated apt and I can’t believe the things we’re seeing now after only 3 weeks. So rushed. Minimal effort. So fucking crazy and frustrating
