the 'charizard X is only better because of the colors' argument is kind of stupid honestly, the color scheme is part of the design, the color scheme makes X slightly cooler, i like both, i prefeer both, and while yes in doubles Y is better, but in singles charizard X clears quite consistently, it's just that it has more competition than charizard y, there are more good physical dragon types than there are good sun setters, but you do bring really good points, aside from the color one, where i do get the point, but is just unfair to take one thing frome the other's design and put it on the other and just say 'yes, it is obvously better'

I think X is better in every way, X I can confidently say is better than base Charizard and honestly I think Charizards base design is better than Y. The color swap argument doesn't sway me at all regular shiny y looks better than the color swap. their color palettes are intentional and perfect. And it's a MEGA evolution we're talking about a temporary surge in power so strong the pokemon goes past its "final" evo in a way that's dangerous unless it's bonded with a trainer. X's design is a way better representation of that power. Y just looks like a 4th evo where gamefreak is teasing people giving it even more typical dragon design elements but still avoiding the title. I don't like or think, the sleaker look is better in this case, the wings on the hands and the spike don't Add to Charizard. Base is 9/10 X is 9.5/10 Y is 8/10
