This one really hits because it’s so frustrating when you’re ready to talk and the other person just isn’t there yet, or maybe they can’t be. As hard as it is, you can’t force someone into a conversation they’re not ready for. Sometimes giving space is actually what protects both people, even if it doesn’t feel good in the moment. It doesn’t mean the conversation will never happen, it just means the timing isn’t right yet, and maybe it never will be. In that case, it’s now up to you and choose to move forward with grace.

If we didn’t have cell phones would this be a topic? Since having cellphones we have made ourselves too accessible for anyone. If we went back to landlines only, this discussion would be different. We are not required to speak to everyone just bc they want to talk. I I choose to not speak to someone, I should not feel pressured to because they have their needs for validation. Not everyone deserves our personal time.

Well I cut them off because they treated me as disposable and then their action showed me that they didn’t care of loosing access to me….so to me I’m ok if I never talk to them again given it was their character that led to disrespecting me

I learnt to be a lighthouse - I didn't realise it was a thing but it worked for me. Didnt know or need the know/not/open, i stated that a relationship is a two way street but they were only happy if the got what they wanted and I journeyed the street- they never journeyed it. then I stated I would go halfway only and if they were going the other it was on them. then I said I no longer go down that street. happy to see you this end but everything on your terms is not a relationship.
