@thesmallmighty: Criterium for being good at your job includes luck. Imposter syndrome feels different when you believe that everyone is winging it at some level. Corporate is full of chancers. You’ll be okay. Believe in yourself. #career #impostersyndrome #corporatelife
Girl I’m with you. I only apply for jobs I have no business applying for then wing it. Now I’m a “consultant” still wondering how because I’m STILL winging it 😅 it’s literally common sense and determination

I agree, now the problem is to get the luck to be in the right place at the right time. 😅

There are so many jobs I know I could do but have no experience in. And then watched someone else with experience fumble around… after i asked for the job.

Epic. Suffice to say though, you also created your own luck. If you hadn’t “Googled” what CRM means, or opened and actually read that 400 page book, none of it would’ve worked out. Great video though 🙌🏽🔥💯

"Luck" is what we call "God's Grace" in our own part of the world. It really does exist, if you know you know.
But preparation meets opportunity is a match made in heaven.

A Mr. Rogers’s quote changed my life. During the pandemic I read the quote “look for those who are helping.” I love healthcare and healthcare workers. Luck was calling everyone on my phone. Friends I haven’t talked to in years. I was homeschooling and completely lost. Most of my friends thought I was selling some pyramid scheme. I wasn’t, I missed helping people. One friend forgot I worked in healthcare, I was offered a role and evolved into a recruitment role. A paper bag was in my drawer at all time dealing with imposter syndrome. (They’re going to find out I don’t know sh*t). 6 years later… still crushing and loving it! All healthcare staff needs to be thanked for their tireless efforts. 🩷

I’m in a situation like this but I’ve honestly lost my confidence over time from just not understanding and knowing at the level they seem to all be. The role has been a really big learning curve for me and training wasn’t right either. It’s made me question what I’m actually capable of. I thought I could do it but now I’m not sure.

I love listening to you. Amazing story. A great leader is everything! I’m in a weird spot where I have the confidence for more in some ways but I never took schooling so I feel like I’m dismissed before they ever meet me.

quick question.. my husband lost his job 6 months ago and still trying to find another one even with 13 years of experience and within a small market with many open positions... recruiters told him that he is a high risks employer because he changed "many" jobs according to them ( but due to unfortunate events like 1 company closed, other lost many clients suddenly, other job he had to do a heart operation so he left ...) thinks happen in life you can't control that but what can he do now??
