Hey, thanks for the response man, seriously. ive been feeling pretty stuck lately and just looking for alternatives.I personally did start as a hobby, and would love for automotive to be that way. Ive been picking up as many side jobs as i can, but theyre so far and few between if im honest. I want to start posting content this summer, and I will definitely look into alternatives. I dont want to stop wrenching, but the slow seasons are starting to genuinely kill me.

I switched positions from a 4 year auto tech and now I’m working as a trailer mechanic and it was one of the best decisions I made

i switched from a auto technician with 4 years experience to a gse mechanic for an aviation company and make damn near double what i did in the automotive field it was by far the best decision i’ve made

I was far into it. 15 years. Jumped to HVAC. didnt even take a pay cut actually made more in first year.

Yeah I found out quick after my father passed my passion to work on cars went too I’m still a flat rate tech but I’m trying to switch to something different and work on my own projects at home bc it’s a lot more enjoyable
