In 2016 I was told to come into work even tho I was sick or I would be fired…. I showed up with a sick note showing I had an active flu (snot running, constant sneezing, and chest infection) I worked at a McDonalds in the kitchen on the Transcanada Highway…. I was forced to work and 1 week later Canada had a major flu outbreak across Canada around march in 2016…

both the manager is wrong for firing somebody who called in sick but the person higher up is wrong because it is illegal to dock somebody's pay for something like this... the correct action is to sue the manager...
