😭😭 I'm not a neurologist, but I have a daughter who has epilepsy. I can tell that is a definite seizure based on what I've seen with my own child. How does a neurologist discount this so easily? 😭😭😭

one doc said he is “100% certain i’ve never had a seizure” and said i was “just traumatized and have FND” - waiting to see another neurologist because i did not feel heard in that meeting unfortunately… I hope you have a great team on your side and you’re getting better <33

First neuro told me it was “pseudoseizures”, second neuro who specialised in fnd immediately said he felt uncomfortable calling them functional then started talking about epilepsy and complex partial seizures. I was in resus a week prior, it was bittersweet. Being a teenage girl/woman in the healthcare system is absolute hell.

I heard that for almost five years too. Then I had a seizure about four years ago, and an American medical student said to me in English, "You have epilepsy," and I was like, "What?" Since then, my life has changed so much. The seizures have become more frequent and severe. The worst part is when you live in a country where you're not supposed to be sick.

I was told I was malingering,then PNES by a psychologist after 5 years I went to another hospital The new neurologist requested another EEG and was diagnosed epilepsy 😞

It’s crazy bc after my first seizure at the gym 2 weeks ago...I wasn’t anxious or tired either. And since then I find myself feeling like I’m abt to have another one, and I need to genuinely breathe and take a moment to gather my composure bc I start to feel light headed. Anyways- the doctor told me next time to get into a doggy position/ do yoga.. but nah I’m taking this up to Jesus LMAO

girl my neuro in 2021 said “ she faking” to my mom and told me to stop running up my parents medical bills and wt the end of the appt told my mom he got my head screwed on right. anyways been in 5 comas for status epilepticus and diagnosed with epilepsy now😭🤍
