I’m really hoping we get Artemis next. Because that’s my favorite of his. I can’t wait to see Hail Mary and definitely devoured the book. This movie came right we really needed it. I really appreciate it. (Hail Mary)

Loved reading the books before watching the film and the cinema experience doesn’t fall short on this, so much that I am dragging my mates to see it in IMAX so I can see it again on a bigger screen. Do you think they will make Artemis into a film?

That was something I really noticed the first time I read The Martian. So much went wrong, but he was able to science his way out of it. There wasn't magic, there wasn't hand waving "future technology." It was all information and technology currently available to us. I was so jazzed to go to Mars by the end of that book!

The only “hope” is for the people left on Earth. Grace doesn’t have hope. He works the problems realizing he won’t benefit from his discoveries. The scientists that develop the mission are forced by circumstance, not choice. The solution to the astrophage is only possible by the coordination of Grace & Rocky, & that is coincidental, not planned at launch. IMO the story isn’t about hope at all.

Think about this: we live in a world where most of us are told being wrong by is bad. Then there’s science. Where being wrong is essential. Personally, I believe part of this disconnect is here.
