i know it's a bit of hit or miss for some people but i looooove nope so much. recently rewatched it and my god, it's exactly my type of horror film. on the other hand i also really enjoyed bring her back, so creepy but also very emotional :) great list!!!

first omen was unbelievable. super sophisticated visuals, period setting, nell tiger free was a revelation. And the possession homage scene had me floating in the cinemas

In a Violent Nature was really good, fair play. The slow moving machine scene was cool. Pretty creative with the sub genre.

X and Pearl were so good for me but Maxxine was awful! I also liked LongLegs but that was a victim of its own marketing, was nowhere near as good as it looked...good list!

I really struggle with zach cregger and can’t enjoy his writing. Was sorely disappointed after watching Barbarian and Weapons but was so excited for them and wanted to enjoy them. Should I be watching Zach Cregger films in a certain way? The endings always throw me off

Great picks. I really do think this era of horror is really solid and will be looked back as quite iconic. Others I love are Bring Her Back, Talk To Me, The Substance, Alien Romulus, Last Night in Soho, Nosferatu, The Night House.

In A Violent Nature was really good but I don't think I would watch it again because it would feel like a walking simulator, it sort of occupies the same sort of category of Lake Mungo to me in that it's boring but in a good, intentional way. The long periods of nothing much happening make when things do happen so impactful.

Bit of a Barbarian spoiler there?! Yeah I thought it was great. First Omen was good, you have to see at least Omen 2! It’s awesome. In A Violent Nature was awesome. I love how you just hear snippets of the teen slasher cliche plots in the background. Wanted one last twist in that final scene though…
