@builtbydillon: 1. Your average weight is moving down Not day to day. Look at the trend over a couple weeks. If it’s lower than it was before, you’re on track. 2. Your clothes fit differently Less tight in the waist, shirts sit better, things feel a little looser overall. That’s real progress. 3. You notice a small increase in appetite Not extreme hunger. Just enough to notice. That usually means intake is lower than what your body’s used to. 4. Your physique looks a little tighter Slightly leaner in the mirror, better definition, less softness. Subtle changes count. Bottom line If even one of these is happening, you’re moving in the right direction Don’t change the plan. Don’t rush it. Let it work. the biggest thing ive had to teach myself is that its OK to be hungry. you shouldn't feel like youre starving to death every minute of the day, but a little bit of hunger in between meals is fine.

Joe :
Slow, controlled weight loss is the way forward! I did this and aimed for no more than 0.25 to 0.5 kilos off every week. Disciplined 5 days a week, and then eased off a bit at the weekends. 1500 calories ish, with exercise on top. It came off slow, sometimes stopped altogether (a blow out weekend always helped, you’d go up and the start dropping again). Took holidays off but tried to stay active with a long beach walk every morning). It took just over a year but went from 89kg to 72kg. Now I’ve shifted my lifestyle in a way that’s sustainable long term
