@finegael: Fine Gael knows that families are struggling with rising energy costs, as a result of the conflict in the Middle East. People notice it when they fill up their cars and when they pay for heating oil. We’re now working on plans to help alleviate those pressures, which will be finalised at the next Cabinet meeting.
he is really out of touch with the truth ... more than 50% of the price of fuel is tax of one form or another there is where you can help people out

We’re all being squeezed—and it’s not just at the petrol pumps or in home heating bills.
Working people are paying more at every turn through taxes and levies, yet many feel they’re getting less in return. When did it become acceptable that those who work hard and contribute consistently are left questioning what they’re actually entitled to?
There has to be a fairer balance—one where effort, responsibility, and contribution are properly recognised. A system should support the people who keep it running, not stretch them to the limit.
It’s time to ask: where is the fairness for workers who are doing everything right?
