Fear mongering nonsense lol. Mold remediation companies have presented that there is no need to be alarmed with very few mold spots like those. It will not grow and will die leaving a stain unless you continue to get it wet

As soon as the test swab was out of the wrapper, it had mold on it. mold is everywhere. Mold is only dangerous in excess quantities.

Nah. The “mold” he’s talking about is almost always mildew and neither toxic nor destructive to the wood. So test away, but the result is most likely of being nothing

Mold is in every renovation and it’s super hard to avoid it, but it should be fixed if your not a hack… coming from a builder, I’ve had mold on almost every job, and there’s multiple ways to handle the situation. 1) run it by the customer, if they care or not and go from there (they should care) or 2) just fix it, with what we make off jobs, the amount of time it takes to assess and fix, is so minimal. Just fucking fix it. Simple as that.
