The girl measured me and said I perfectly matched the measurements for the standard small size (i think its a 0 idk) tell me why I got the dress and it was super big on me and i had to pay so much for alterations 😭 like wtf was the point of all the measurements if it wasn’t going to fit

As a past bridal stylist, I never ever thought about someone’s body in any opinionated way. I’ve seen petite brides and plus size brides and we truly aren’t analyzing for flaws or imperfections. For me if was all about getting her the best measurements so that her dress could come in as close to her perfect size as possible and still allow for alterations if needed. It’s all about making the dress fit YOUR unique body. And it’s kind of neat since present time fashion doesn’t allow for truly tailored fitting garments, it’s all size ranges. It’s kind of like how nurses aren’t phased by anything and it’s all purely medical for them. I hope that brings you some peace of mind 🤍

I had to be almost naked, only had underwear on and then after alllll that, they body shamed me to the point where i haven't gone back and instead keep buying dresses online til i find one i like.
