As a nursery nurse, I can assure you babies just need a treasure basket of things they can explore with different textures that can go in their mouths. They don’t need to be expensive brand toys - ladles, wooden spoons, clean nail brush (make sure the bristles don’t come out), hair rollers. My son loved my silicone pastry brush.
