as a local from Barcelona, kidnapping is not really common. The biggest probability is that he was pick pocketed and tried to fight back.

Let’s normalize not leaving friends or people that we go out with behind whether that be at beaches , clubs , parties etc.. when one leaves we all leave. There has been too many stories about these occurrences happening

Years ago a boy around the same age as this went missing and was killed from my hometown while studying abroad in Italy. He was pickpocketed/robbed and fought back and ended up being killed. This sounds sadly similar.

My little brother is so bad about leaving us and his groups at the bar when he drinks. After he wondered odd from us a month ago again He got robbed at 3 am alone in an ally on broadway nash by 4 thu9s who forced him to open his phone and stole it and sent themselves 15,000 on Apple Pay in 500$ increments. And he had no phone nothing and drunk walking on the bridge trying to find someone and he ran into the mf same uber driver that dropped the off earlier who got him back to hotel where we were so worried. God sent the driver
