SNRI's didn't play well with my PTSD. constant panic attacks and waking up every 20 minutes with night terrors and/or sleep paralysis. my doctor just rolled his eyes. sigh.

I'm on venlafaxine (effexor), it saved my life in my opinion, however I am now on 150mg twice a day and the withdrawal effects of even missing a dose by an hour or 2 is absolutely terrifying

Me listening to her say “its not addictive” while going through severe withdrawals after weeks of very slow taper. I don’t have words for the things I’m feeling right now

I’ve had several people close to me be placed on Effexor. I have never witnessed and heard about such horrible withdrawals as I have about coming off of Effexor.

Cymbalta has worked really good for me for chronic pain, the night sweats and withdrawals are awful though, I can’t even miss one dose without going kind of crazy and getting really sick

I loved duloxetine, it was the first one to make an actual difference for me. Personally I had little/no withdrawal & my depression hasn't returned (been a few years now) at least hasn't returned anywhere near as bad

Sadly SSRIs don't work for me, only SNRIs when it comes to depression.
