a funeral many years back for an extremely difficult *horrible* woman, her daughter gave a eulogy that started with "id like to start by apologizing for my mother. I know she made life difficult for all of us". and she was absolutely correct.

My mom went to one of her aunt’s funerals where, instead of outright calling her a liar, the preacher said she had “a tendency to embellish the truth.” And at another funeral, my granddad leaned over and whispered, “Are we at the right one?” Lord, I do love being from the South.
