@notnicolelena: Recipe: 113g unsalted butter (1 stick) browned 160g brown sugar 140g granulated sugar 1 large egg 80g room temperature sourdough discard 1/2 tbs vanilla 235g all purpose flour 1 tsp baking powder 3/4 tsp salt 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips (I prefer Ghirardelli) 🍪 Start by browning your butter until bubbly, brown specks, and has a nutty smell. Stir in sugars. Then add in discard, egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add half this mixture to the wet ingredients but don’t fully incorporate. Then add other half plus the chocolate chips and combine until incorporated. Don’t over mix. Cover and put in fridge for at least 30 minutes (I prefer to over night or about 12 hours as this helps enhance flavors). When ready, preheat oven to 375 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper. Bake for about 11-12 minutes depending on oven. Take out when they’re slightly brown and middle is starting to set but not over baked. They will finish baking out of the oven. Optional to add flaky sea salt. #fyp #baking #sourdough

just got done making these- so so good! i sprinkled with salt & it tastes phenomenal. mine were a little bit flat but i also didn’t refrigerate. i have a new batch in the oven now that has been refrigerated!
