What I do to dry out, my herbs is I literally just cut them off and I set them out on a paper towel in a dry cool area in my house and I just let them dry. You can also dry them in your oven at like 200° until they feel dry.

small gardening tip. Make sure while you’re growing the jalapeños that you keep the soil more hydrated. Because dry soiled jalapeños as they are growing, get very spicy.

Just a head up, get a planter, like 2x2 and plant those chives separately. If you do in your bigger beds they will take over! So they will do good contained in a nice size pot/planter.
