Question for you: Hiring manager conducting the interview says to wear business casual, you hit the zoom in a suit and tie and the interviewer is in a polo……..Would that not fall under the ability to follow directions?

I do wear a suit! You never get a second chance to make a first impression! One year I beat out 900 people for a job and I was the only one that showed up wearing a suit and tie. Very dirty place but that doesn’t matter to me!

All of them bc I froze. I am a confident person one I’m in it but after 28 yrs of retail I made a decision to go back to school to become a surgical tech. It was tough and I faced many challenges but I showed up no matter what. Now I’m graduated and seeking a new job and this is life stumping for me. Thank you for your content🙏🏼

I always wear a suit, even on Zoom. You have one chance to impress, do you really want to take a chance. Many times interviewer mentions that I didn’t have to, but that comment shows they have acknowledged the fact that you did. It shows you respect the opportunity.

I’ve done several of those examples. I also waited to logon only to find there were technical issues. Had I got on early I could have resolved the problem early

My colleague interviewed in a ball cap short and jeans. The hiring manager liked him and he was hired on. It all depends of they like you or not simple as that

Thi is very helpful . Although I had a second interview and the person left early that day and never said anything and I waited over 30 min for the zoom meeting so that to me is not very responsible of the manager
