Harry and Hermione always felt deeper to me than Ron and Hermione. Hermione sees Harry as a person before she sees him as “The Chosen One.” Even when the whole wizarding world either idolizes him, fears him, doubts him, or projects onto him, she consistently understands the actual person underneath all of it.
She gives him space to grieve, to be angry, confused, vulnerable, and human without making him feel guilty for it. And Harry, in turn, has such a quiet softness toward Hermione throughout the series. He trusts her judgment more than almost anyone, listens to her even when others dismiss her, and genuinely admires her intelligence instead of feeling threatened by it.
Their relationship feels built on mutual respect, emotional safety, loyalty, and understanding. Ron and Hermione often felt like teenage chemistry and constant tension, whereas Harry and Hermione felt like two people who could actually build a life together after everything was over.
Honestly, I always imagined the perfect ending being the two of them leaving a lot of the wizarding world behind and building something quieter together in the Muggle world. Not being defined forever by war, prophecy, or old family legacies, but choosing their own life, their own home, their own future, and finding peace in simply being normal together after surviving so much.
