So in Qatar, the pay (not specifically disclosing my salary) is around £4500 (including accommodation pay). so technically, you could truly save 2.5k a month if you truly wanted to...

I'm a principal (head of secondary). school to school varies dramatically from 28 up to 50 (a month), plus housing, which is typically 100-150 a year. Kids for senior leadership are always given places (typically and never more than 2), including visa and medical. if you are both working, you can save a lot and have a great time. if you like to go to brunches (I dont) then you're going to save a lot less - but that's pretty obvious.
