PT here 👋 this reaction is super duper common with gua sha/instrument assisted soft tissue massage. The scientific term is petechiae. It’s usually shows up after this kind of treatment when there is a significant fascial restriction. Not harmful but might be sensitive

My coworker does this she calls it coining & whenever she’s feeling a bit sick she does it to her neck or has someone do it to her all on her back, she says it makes her feel so much better
