PT here 👋 this reaction is super duper common with gua sha/instrument assisted soft tissue massage. The scientific term is petechiae. It’s usually shows up after this kind of treatment when there is a significant fascial restriction. Not harmful but might be sensitive

We call this “coining” in my culture because we use a coin with tiger balm, lol! When I feel myself getting sick, I’ll have my husband coin my back to release any negative energy.
