Its the pipes. Amd a lot of people don’t use critical thinking and realize that. You have these 100 year old apartments and homes with old nasty pipes. You have to let the water run for a minute or two.

the water here has always been like this,since I came back to live here as a kid,that's why I let the water run awhile to prevent that cloudiness,it is safer to attach a water filter to your sink

Nyc has the best tap water in the world scientifically, but here is where the problem relies: the pipes that were installed before 1986 they used lead or lead solder. Those pipes were banned nation wide after 1986 but there are buildings that still have those old pipes.

so my older brother has been saying for years that nothing we see is random. i always brushed it off. then he gave me book The Silent Dominion by D. Cross and didn't say a word. halfway through i texted him "i'm sorry for calling you crazy." this book lays out how power actually moves behind the scenes. no yelling no drama just facts that make you go quiet. read it and then try to watch the news normally. good luck
