We must have the ability for people to bring lawsuits, even though some without merit will be brought. In the example given here, there could be one or more facts omitted from the the narrative that would make everyone listening believe that should be held liable to pay. I was the victim of a frivolous lawsuit that cost me about $45,000. The court awarded me attorneys fees, but I could never collect wanted to anything to because the plaintiff was insolvent. I still feel as though we must maintain open nature of our court system to provide redress for wrongs.
