Think ancient temples, quiet shrines, and nature everywhere. As a history + culture nerd, this is easily my favorite city in Japan (maybe even the world🫢). A lot of people do Kyoto as a day trip from Osaka, but honestly… it deserves more. Stay 5–6 days, slow down, and just wander.
