@clairesnewlife: I don’t think a marriage ends in one moment. At least mine didn’t. It was more like things just slowly changed, and I kept telling myself it was normal. We stopped talking about the future without even realising it. No more plans, no more “one day we’ll…”. Just getting through the week. I remember sitting next to him sometimes and still feeling completely alone. That feeling is hard to explain unless you’ve felt it. Little things started to bother him. Or maybe they always did, I just noticed it more. Either way, it felt like I couldn’t do anything right anymore. And the only time we really talked properly… was when we argued. Like that was the only way to get any kind of emotion out of each other. Towards the end, there was just this distance I couldn’t ignore. He began hiding things from me like why he came back from work late or who he would be texting. You just feel something is wrong before you can explain it. I think part of me knew for a long time. I just wasn’t ready to face it. If you’ve ever felt like this you’ll understand what I mean. I’ve started documenting my experiences and maybe provide some helpful tips for anyone who’s going through something similar ❤️ #divorce #divorcedwomen #newbegginings #breakups #over40
