I’ve been on this app yapping about divorce and post divorce for years, also. Then randomly went viral at the end of 2025 just after deciding I was done speaking about it all bc it’s so exhausting sometimes. Your voice is CRUCIAL for people who feel like they “can’t” leave because their partner is “good”. Crucial. Keep speaking and please hold onto the rest you need. You have already grieved to an extent. Right now, you need rest. The things that need to happen will happen later.

It takes time to grieve the end of a relationship no matter how or why it ended. The grief of the life you thought you were going to live and planned for is very real and heavy. Give yourself time to rest without guilt because your body needs it after the extreme amount of mental and emotional energy it takes to go through that and start over. I'm very much a busy body and always on the go and getting things done but after my marriage ended there were days I was barely able to function and get out of bed because I was exhausted to my bones and needed that time to recover.

It’s 3 weeks to the day that my long term partner & I split, I was completely blindsided. The grief comes & goes in waves, but I’m finally having better days. I can’t seem to do things I need to do either.. but yes, the executive function is just.. not there. I’m glad I voiced my needs & they let me know they wouldn’t be able to reciprocate but I’m still very much grieving. It’s so embarrassing sometimes. I’m proud of you. I’m proud of me. I hope you can find the will to do big things again! You’re not alone, I’m here with you. Baby steps. 🖤

Take some time to sit outside. Breathe the air. Birth watch. To walks. 🥰

me and my partner also broke up about 3 weeks ago and for the first like 3-4 days i was crying constantly and then off and on and now i’m okay unless i really think about the situation; but i had been grieving our relationship since june. and i wonder if i am just compartmentalizing the breakup and not really over it or if i truly am fine because i grieved for so long. it’s such a weird feeling.
