@francesfeelslike: i remember after witnessing my first round of layoffs at my previous company, it was hard for me to shake that uneasy feeling and return to work normally. my mentor’s advice? just keep chugging along and do what you need to do to manage your anxiety. things i would do to prepare for a layoff - 1. update your resume while you still have access to your most recent work 2. dust off those interviewing skills 3. make sure you have a good rainy day fund (this may mean not maxing out your 401k or otherwise tying up your assets) 4. take care of yourself <3 at the end of the day, a layoff isn’t a reflection of you & a job is a job anyways, thank you @fkro.co @Oatly for the matcha!! #layoffs #womenintech #careeradvice #job #corporatelife 🏷️ ai takeover, life lessons, career lessons
