So we had to make things right :) I saw a video of a lady saying you shouldn’t be friends with your kids until they’re adults because it’s your responsibility to mold them, give them wisdom, etc. I think that’s a bunch of nonsense (well, just half wrong). Being your kid’s best friend doesn’t mean you can’t also be their parent. Both are important to building a loving relationship.
