I’m a single Christian in Nashville and I don’t have any family here or any real friends. While I long for the romantic relationship, I find myself struggling most with the overall lack of strong connections with others. I think I might be the only single person in my age group in my church, so while there are great people there they don’t really understand. I just feel sometimes like my faith is challenged by my loneliness and my inability to understand very well why I am continuing to go through this season.

Aura of growth :

It’s ironic how society always finds an 'imperfection' to point out. If you’re single, they ask when you’re marrying. If you’re married, they ask about children. If you can’t have children, they find another gap to critique. The truth is, people will always see what’s 'missing' because they aren’t looking through the lens of grace. What truly matters is being deeply rooted in Christ and learning to appreciate the unique journey God has placed you on. Peace doesn't come from meeting expectations; it comes from knowing you are already enough.

How exhausting it can be to constantly have to be hopeful and happy (read content) even if you’re not in that moment? I do fully trust God has a plan for my life. But maybe I’m frustrated about it right now and the church implies that we should just be thankful for our extra freedom even though that freedom can be a painful reminder of unmet dreams.
