They didn’t give you the correct iron. Happened to me. They give a “generic type” learned the hard way they are supposed to give a test dose first

This cereal is so good and has 90% of your daily iron for 1/3 cup!! I would eat 1/3 cup for breakfast everyday and it really helped on top of everything else!

As someone who used to suffer from iron deficiency, just eat beans in EVERY meal. Not only did I get my iron up but the amount of fiber I was getting saved me from constipation😭

You might still be able to get iron. I had an allergic reaction too. My doctor switched me to a different type of iron and I also get solumedrol before the infusion to prevent anaphylaxis and then they monitor me for a little while afterward.

So sorry you experienced this 💗 I’m an infusion nurse and unfortunately iron reactions are common. We often pre medicate patients for this reason based on their medical history/risk of reacting

This happened to me one time turns out I was allergic to the type of iron. I had had infusions before and they changed the type/brand or whatever that they gave me and I had an allergic reaction to it
