Not only that… the story/feel is different. Dune is cool/beautiful and unique. LOTR is all that plus emotional, quotable, and well rounded.

I think it’s just different. A younger generation probably has an easier time connecting with Dune than LotR due to having a more pessimistic outlook towards people in power and a dichotomy of good and evil. I’ll concede that Dune isn’t quite the same cultural moment that LotR was, but considering the moment that was the mcu, I don’t think I don’t think it’s some singular experience that only ppl alive for LotR got to enjoy.
