Yep. My old manager had asked me to find ways to get our team to get along/be cohesive. I sent out a casual email asking if the team would be interested in a Friday lunch thing out of the office where we just took our lunch to the public gardens near our office. My manager reprimanded me for “overstepping” and “undermining” his role. I stopped trying to maintain team cohesion and focused on my work. Within three months the interpersonal issues were so bad and I resigned within the year.

Yup. Constantly dismissed, constantly told my ideas won’t work here, no one listens, everyone is chaotic, so now I just double up on my adderall, lost my personality just to manage being at work, and now I’m not a team player. Ugh
