I feel like you might not fully understand what people thought you were saying. There’s an old antisemitic trope that American Jews control Hollywood. It very much sounded like you were playing into that trope, implying that his nepotism AND Jewish background both gave him an unfair advantage. It’s a very old and harmful stereotype. Also, being Jewish isn’t just a religion, it’s an ethnicity, which someone can’t change. Just in case you didn’t know I wanted to clarify why some people were getting heated. I also want to remind some of the commenters I’ve seen say some unfair things that many jews around the world oppose Zionism and the Israeli government. Don’t assume that because someone is Jewish it makes them a Zionist or a supporter of the Palestinian gen0cide.
