It seems to me like they are primarily going the route of The Other storyline, and probably are going to use elements of the man spider story. Probably going to be a “if you aren’t strong enough or don’t get your mind right, then you’ll become all spider. If you are strong enough to survive your mutations, then you’ll be way stronger without any downside” kind of thing

I'm hoping Scorpion, Boomerang, and Tarantula will be a montage showing that Spider-Man is doing great but Peter is depressed and alone. Kinda like the one for Mikes from Across the Spider-Verse. Worried that they're throwing too much into the movie otherwise and only one out of the last three Spider-Man movies to do that pulled it off. And that was mainly because we already knew the characters they were throwing at us.

I honestly cannot believe how many people think they're actually going to turn Tom Hollard in to a giant Spider. That would be the absolute dumbest thing they could do. Have any MCU characters ever gone thru something so dramatic as that!? He'll have a nightmare about it as his senses increase and he gets organic web shooters, that's it.

I understand being cautious about it possibly being too bloated with characters, but after Shang Chi and especially Wonder Man recently, I trust Destin Daniel Cretton will be able to balance all those elements well to make a great Spider Man movie. They could do like a montage for the past 4 years of him fighting crime like they did with Fantastic Four.

also sony is rebooting their spider villain verse. in the man spider story he goes to dr Conners but here he goes to Banner. sony and Disney made a deal they cant have a deal where Disney cant use characters sony is using. Therefore sony is probably going to make a lizard movie.
