this movie wasn't about romance it's about closure (thats the fucking title), as I see the movie their isolation (before going to school) is a symbol of youth and closeness but as they are exposed to a new environment everything changes that's why I saw Remi's death a symbol of growth, guilt, and absence of closeness/love.
