Try Perplexity Computer, sure it's not local to your pc but that can be a bonus, I find the output better. If all your stuff is in the cloud it's better than Cowork. And your pc doesn't need to be on and you don't need to use Dispatch when you're out of the office.

I’ve had the same experience. The connections on Cowork have been hit and miss. For those of us who get a lot done in code, Cowork doesn’t make sense.

The issue is you can’t use it for anything in the browser, automation in the browser is the worst! The browser just isn’t built for bots.

I find using system prompts, and external system memory via obsidian are helpful in this. But I have seen the same challenges. Cowork is still technically a beta isn’t it? I’m assuming they’ll refine it heavily in the next few months

Your probably working a little slow but yea even basic work streams still tale 20-30 minutes to set up. over a few months you'll easily save more time then you spent but its not 5 mins of set up and walk away
