@americanspeechcoach: Assumptions lead to false narratives about people’s intentions, kill curiosity and can be hard to turn around even when proven wrong. Before you fill in the gaps with your own stories of what happened and why, try to lead from a place of curiosity. Ask more questions that allow for an open dialogue before you jump to conclusions, and watch how things shift.
